Luminous (Glow) Products

Luminous and "glow-in-the-dark" are the common terms used to describe these products; however, the technically correct term in actually "phosphorescent". When these products are exposed to light, they will "glow" after the light is extinguished for a short period of time. The glow is generally a greenish-yellow color, and the brightness of the glow is determined by the brightness of the light that the products were exposed to, and length of time that they were exposed to it. (The brighter and longer the light, the brighter and longer the glow.) Also, glow items will appear brighter in pitch black than in areas of low ambient light. Most glow products will also glow under blacklight.
